Ps 148: 1-14 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!
Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!
Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created.
He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away.
Praise the LORD from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths;
Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars; Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl;
Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth; Both young men and maidens; Old men and children.
Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.
And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints -- Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him. Praise the LORD!

A walk in the woods, some years ago, led me to a wonderful encounter with God. At that time I was in the habit of rising early and taking a morning stroll in the woods before getting on with the days activities. One morning I found myself blessed with an experience with God like none I've had before or since. As the sun rose everything around me seemed to fill with God's glory. It was as if His spirit permeated everything I saw, heard and touched. I sensed God in all that was around me. The experience was both profound and awe inspiring. Scripture says that God's spirit creates and sustains all things and for a brief moment I believe that the Lord opened my eyes to this reality and allowed me to see things as they really are.

"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist."

This song came shortly after that experience. Words and music came simultaneously which was unusual for me. Actually that has happened only one other time with the song "House Of The Lord". I hope that as you listen, this song awakens an awareness in you that all creation does indeed declare God's glory.
