I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another;
they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty,
and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works,
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
In Genesis we read that God created the world in just 6 days. That it was perfect in every way and that it contained everything we would need to live and prosper. In Genesis 3 we find that the serpent deceived Eve about eating from the tree of knowledge and how she persuaded Adam to eat as well. That disobedience changed the course of events forever. Sin was introduced into the world and God had to send His one and only Son to die for all our sins so that we could live with Him through Jesus' ultimate sacrifice. This song was inspired by knowing that God is great, God is love and that God is good all the time. I wanted to write a worship song that was easy to sing and easy to remember so that people could easily join in singing without having the words in front of them. I believe it was inspired by God and thst together we attained my aspirations for the song.
