just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.
John 19:17-19... And He, bearing His cross, went out to a place called the Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha, where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:
I don't know about you but for me it is impossible to understand how God could have chosen me to be in Christ before the foundation of the world. As close as I can figure before the foundation of the world predates my birth, my parents birth and my grandparents birth. It actually speaks of a time before Abraham, Noah or Adam. As I understand it, back when God was speaking things into existance He knew about me and there was a plan. That plan consisted of the Creator of all things taking on flesh, becoming part of the physical world He created and going to Calvary for my salvation. He led a perfect life, died an unjust death so I, who was dead in sin, could be raised to newness of life in Him. It doesn't make any sense but it's true and He came and died for you too. It's all about Him doing for us what we could not do for ourselves. In the New Testament John the Baptist says "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.".
His sacrifice takes away our sins. Isa 53:5 says "He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
I encourage you to meditate on Is. 53:5 as you listen to this song and think about the One who paid "The Price" for you.
